Hey everyone! I’m a makeup loving lady like the rest of you! Maybe a tad obsessed with it sometimes, but it’s okay because I get a monthly dose of new products by being subscribed to Boxycharm (and no, this is not sponsored). I love Boxycharm because it’s super affordable and I usually genuinely love the products I receive. I decided that every once in a while I will review some of the products I receive in my Boxycharm for ya’ll. Maybe some other products that are not from Boxycharm as well.
The first product I am going to review is a liquid matte liquid lipstick by the brand RealHer. RealHer is a really cute brand because they are so positive and their aspiration is to bring out the best in women. They also donate 20% of their profits to a non-profit organization that advances equity for women through different programs. That’s so wonderful! The packaging is super cute because all the products have different inspirational and confidence boosting quotes on them.
I got it in the shade I am Fearless, which is a beautiful dark pink. It’s so dark that when applied it almost looks like a plum color on my skin tone (I’m fair toned). When I get new lipsticks, the first thing I always do it smell them. It’s kind of strange, I know lol. The scent is very mild and not exactly good smelling but not bad smelling either. That’s alright with me!
I applied the lipstick to my dry lips and while I was applying it, I noticed that the color was a bit streaky. In attempts to fix that, I let the lipstick dry a little bit then applied another coat. The lipstick got darker when I applied more but it remained streaky. I continued to wear it just to see how it feels on my lips and it felt a bit drying and a tiny bit sticky in certain parts of my lips. It did not transfer at all when I drank water or kissed my hand.
Over all, I am very disappointed with this matte liquid lipstick. I really wanted to love it because the color is beautiful and the company is so awesome. I really love what this company stands for and I’m so in love with their packaging. I am wanting to try I a lighter shade to see if the formula is better, and I have heard some really good things on their moisturizing lipstick.
Have you tried any of the products from RealHer? If so, what did you think of them? I would also appreciate any suggestions of some of their products that worked for you.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Peace and lots of love!
