I woke up one morning and decided to do something that I haven’t done in so long. I’ve been constantly thinking about it, but I was so afraid to be disappointed in myself. I knew it was going to be bad, but it was time to face it. I went into the bathroom, folded the bath mat to the side, pulled out the scale and took a deep breathe. The numbers on the scale were higher than they’ve ever been.. Higher than I ever thought they could be.
Weight is something most of us struggle with and I’ve struggled with it my entire life. I think it’s because lack of knowledge on how to eat “right” and how to know when to stop eating when I’m full. After that morning of discovering that I’m at my heaviest weight, I made the decision to change. I didn’t go on a super strict diet or run to the gym right away. I decided to start small. I’ve heard so many stories of failed diets or gaining weight back after diets. So I downloaded an app that helps me track what I eat and how much I eat. When I started using that app, I’d go over my calorie goal all the time. I know many people say that calorie counting isn’t a good way to lose weight, but it’s been great for me. It helps me control how much I eat and it also teaches me what foods are better for me and more filling. (I also drink way more water!)
It’s only the beginning of my weight loss journey but after seeing a tiny bit of progress (losing 2lbs a week) so far, I’m super motivated to keep this up! So stay tuned! Lol
